    Description: Detailed map of the commercial area of Tokyo Nihonbashi / Kanda. These maps include a legend outlining the geographical and architectural elements by color and shape: roads and bridges (yellow), rivers, lakes and ocean (blue), shrines and temples (red), fields and hills (green) and merchant houses (grey). The most noble residences are indicated with a black circle, the residences of higher rank with a black square. Residences of even greater distinction are marked with the emblem or coat of arms of the families. Surprisingly, almost all residences also include the name of the resident's family.

    Measurements: Map (50 x 53 cm). Folded (17 x 9 cm). Original blue paper covers with ties.

    Technique: Color woodblock print.

    Condition: Good condition, minor wear.
