Physical Description: Small folio (27 cm.) 2 parts in 1 volume: xii pages including title page, 98 pages, 2 leaves (half-title and title page of the second part, 99 to 208 pages. 1 leaf. 39 engraved plates including frontispiece.
Binding: Red morocco leather (later binding), Important gold floral decoration framing the covers, double gold fillet on the edges, Spine decorated with gold tools, title and year. Signed (G. Magnin Rel.) on the inner cover.
Author: Charles-Jean Goury de Champgrand (1732-1799) is a French author, known mainly for his works related to hunting, such as his "Hunter's Almanac". According to Thiébaud (469-470), this work is "almost the only illustrated hunting work published in France in the 18th century".
