Description: Masterpiece by Francisco de Paula Mellado (1804-1883), 19th-century Spanish geographer, editor and writer. A comprehensive geographical study of the Iberian Peninsula with historical, economic and social descriptions by region. Includes 12 illustrative plates and a folded colour map. The work forms part of the corpus of 19th-century Spanish geography and was one of the first to systematise knowledge of Spain's territory in a scientific manner.
Author: Francisco de Paula Mellado, 19th-century Spanish geographer, editor and writer. Author of the ‘Enciclopedia Moderna’ (Modern Encyclopaedia) and the ‘Diccionario Enciclopédico de Literatura’ (Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Literature).
Condition: Good condition, slightly worn binding and slight oxidation marks on the paper. Previous owner's stamp (Rafael Ariza).
