The two volumes form an equestrian encyclopedia with numerous illustrative plates detailing saddles, harnesses, postures and exercises. Published by José Hidalgo y Terrón, recognized expert in horsemanship and riding master. The plates include technical fold-outs of equine anatomy, types of mountings and tack used in the Royal School of the period.
