Binding: Period full Valencian calf; green label, gilt title and fillets on spine; sprinkled edges; marbled endpapers.

Pagination: XV preliminary pages + 300 pp. + 1 index leaf + 1 folding plate (heraldic shields).
Description: Princeps edition of one of the oldest Spanish geography treatises: composed c. 1350 by an anonymous Franciscan friar, it describes kingdoms, lordships, arms and emblems of the known world. Contains the first peninsular depiction of royal arms and city badges. The 1877 edition adds paleographic transcription and extensive notes by Marcos Jiménez de la Espada, pioneer of Spanish medieval geography. Printed on high-quality laid paper with clear typography and wood-cut initials.
