Measurements: 28 x 19 cm [imprint], 29.7 x 19.5 cm [paper], 49.6 x 39 cm [passepartout].
Visual Description: Magdalena worshipping Christ at the foot of the cross. Engraved by Matham after Goltzius and dated 1601. Inscription at the bottom: "Cum privil[egio] Sa. Ca. M. HGoltzius inventor et excud, Mathan sculp. Año 1604". Verses at the bottom of the engraving, written by C. Schonaeus: "Magdalis (...) adorant".
Condition: Short margins to the edge of the imprint and darkened in this area due to the adhesion system to another sheet. Mounted on museum-quality, acid-free, and pH-neutral passepartout for the preservation of the work.
Provenance: Engraving belonging to the art collection of Gaspar de Haro y Guzmán, 7th Marquis of Carpio and Eliche (1629-1687), a Spanish noble, diplomat, and politician. He was the son of the collector Luis de Haro and inherited a large repertoire of paintings, which he progressively expanded with works of great quality.
