    Subject: Manuscript from the second half of the 18th century. Nobility. Genealogy and Heraldry. Artistic binding. Asturias.

    Place and date: In Valladolid, 1768 (November 24) / Madrid, 1780 (February 4).

    Description: 43 unnumbered pages, manuscripts with regular calligraphy in sepia ink that are very easy to read. On the last sheet there's a plate seal: "Certificación de armas a petición de D Agustín y d. Matheo Álvarez de los apellidos, Álvarez, Fernández Peláez y Quartas, expedida por Pascual de la Rua Ruiz de Naveda, cronista y Rey de Armas del Rey Carlos III".

    In Madrid, 1780 (February 4): 30 sheets of vellum, and a folded family tree. In the first folio, there's a heraldic shield with the arms of the 4 Asturian surnames; in the second, an allegorical cover. The text with excellent two-tone calligraphy, filleted in red ink. Miniature capital letters showing port scenes.

    Binding: Full burgundy leather, decorated with irons and punches in the style of branching plant motifs reminiscent of their French counterparts in the "a la fanfare" style.

    Conservation: Beautiful specimen in perfect condition.
