Physical description: Folio (34 cm), 39 leaves, 1 etching by Chillida. Publisher's aging cardboard binding with a plate by Eduardo Chillida.
Notes: This book was published by the Carmen Durango Gallery in collaboration with the Municipal Culture Foundation on the occasion of the tribute paid by the city council of Valladolid to Jorge Guillén in November 1982.
It contains 15 poems and a prologue dedicated to the poet, preceded by an original etching by Eduardo Chillida, a graphic synthesis of the sculpture - homage "THE DEPTH IS THE AIR" that the sculptor dedicates to the poet and presents to the city.
The texts were hand-set in Ibarra type, size 20, by Nemesio Pérez and printed by Luis Pico on handmade paper by Segundo Santos. The etching was printed by Ignacio Chillida at the Hatz Workshop in San Sebastián.
The texts are by Francisco Umbral, Rafael Alberti, Vicente Aleixandre, María Victoria Atencia, Carlos Bousoño, J. M. Caballero Bonald, Alfonso Canales, Antonio Carvajal, Gerardo Diego, Salvador Espriu, Claude Esteban, Jaime Gil de Biedma, Francisco Giner de los Ríos, Mario Hernández, Ivar Ivask, Francisco Pino.

Condition: Very good condition. Methacrylate case with crack.
